The World's Strongest Manuka Honey
Biosota produces some of the rarest and strongest Manuka honey in the world with greater amounts of methylglyoxal (MGO) and guaranteed to be certified 100% organic. We take extra care in the placement of our hives and harvesting to ensure all our Manuka honey has a very high amount of its special antibacterial compounds.
Our honey has high levels of Non Peroxide Activity (NPA) or Unique Leptospermum Factor (ULF), a rating system which compares it’s bacteria-killing strength to that of standard Phenol solutions. The higher the number the more antibacterial properties it has.
Australian Certified Organic honey must also meet strict requirements including the beehive locations kept a minimum five kilometres away from any major highways, agricultural land, industry or habitable developments. It must also be extracted to ensure it is kept below 45⁰c to guarantee all the good bacteria is maintained (also known as raw honey). Biosota guarantees our honey is produced and packed in a pollution free environment and is handled with great care.
