Natural therapeutic benefits of Manuka honey for your skin

A Manuka honey face mask offers a range of beauty benefits. Quick and easy to prepare, these masks are super-effective for :

  • Moisturising: Manuka honey naturally draws moisture into the skin, increasing elasticity and leaving it feeling soft and supple.

  • Cleansing: Manuka honey boasts unique antibacterial properties due to its abundant levels of MGO (methylglyoxal). This bioactive compound helps combat acne-causing bacteria, reduce breakouts and even out skin tone.

  • Soothing: Helping to relieve irritation, redness and inflammation, Manuka honey helps keep your skin feeling soft and nourished - and can be particularly beneficial for skin conditions such as eczema or rosacea.

  • Glowing: The natural enzymes found in Manuka honey can gently exfoliate your skin, helping to remove dead skin cells and cleanse deep-down dirt.

  • Protecting: Manuka honey’s antioxidants help protect skin from damage caused by free radicals. This can be effective in preventing premature aging characteristics such as fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots.
